My "Success" Scrapbook (YouTube Criteria)

Started Writing: Friday. January 29, 2021.

This post is focused on an album of certain points in my YouTube Career.

September 13, 2018 : the earliest I could find of a screenshot of my channel's subscriber and view count. I was at 42 Subs & 5,066 views. At the time, I still focused on taking screenshots of whenever I passed a thousand views on my channel.

November 19, 2018 : my channel at 49 Subs & 6,099 views.

November 23, 2018 : This is a channel screenshot of when I still had only 49 Subscribers on the main channel. This was also around the time when I had finished the CFAD WEEK VLOGS ARC of my channel. It occurred for about 3 years, starting in 2016. 2017's CFAD WEEK was dull, but when 2018's CFAD WEEK came, I finally had a CANON EOS 1200D DSLR at my disposal, and I was high on Casey Neistat vlogs. So my editing and storytelling style was ultimately inspired by his vlogs.

February 25, 2019 : My channel at 54 Subs & 7,034 views.

April 18, 2019 : My channel at 62 Subs & 8,101 views. This was around the time when my father started helping me gain some new subscribers via VLS (View, Like, Subscribe) method. It's not a sustainable method for gaining views, since it requires adamant attention and excessive work hours in order to communicate with other aspiring YouTubers (doing the same strategy), while also needing to perform Watch-to-Watch method, where you watch a YouTuber's videos/playlist for an amount of time, and the recipient will do the same for your Channel. But nonetheless, my father got me to around 2,000 Subscribers using this method. More on that later.

May 4, 2019 : The channel at 122 Subs & 9,002 views. This is the point where most YouTubers get to customize their own Channel Links. Ex: changing your channel URL into youtube.com/Username.

May 5, 2019 : this is my channel with 313 Subscribers.

May 13, 2019 : My channel at 494 Subs & 11,472 views.

May 16, 2019 : My channel at 516 Subs & 12,098 views. This is the point when I've reached the 500 Subscriber mark. I received an email from YouTube about it.

(the channel logo is updated to the most recent profile photo, but this email was sent back in May 16, 2019.)

May 19, 2019 : My channel at 553 Subs & 13,121 views.

May 23, 2019 :
this is the Channel with 594 subs & 14,133 views.

May 24, 2019 :
the channel at 623 Subscribers. The channel art has changed. It came from a picture of a city landscape taken from the inside of an LRT. It was formerly used for my supposed thesis, but was scrapped and repurposed into channel art. Long story.

May 27, 2019 : the channel at 643 Subs & 15,081 views.

June 3, 2019 : the channel at 757 Subs & 16, 936 views.

June 6, 2019 : the channel at 816 Subs & 17,627 views.

June 8, 2019 : the channel at 835 Subs & 18,034 views.

June 13, 2019 : the channel at 928 Subs & 19,332 views.

June 19, 2019 : the channel at 990 Subs & 20,512 views.

June 20, 2019 : the channel at 1,000 Subscribers!

June 22, 2019 : YouTube sends me this email celebrating my achievement of getting to 1,000 Subscribers.

June 23, 2019 : the channel at 1,038 Subs & 21,364 views.

July 1, 2019 : the channel at 1,152 Subs & 21,364 views. I can't remember why I missed the 22K mark.

July 5, 2019 : the channel at 1,158 Subs & 24,259 views.

July 8, 2019 : the channel at 1,203 Subs & 25,034 views.

September 14, 2019 : the channel at 1,800 Subscribers. I know that it's just a picture of the subscriber count, but trust me when I say that that's my channel. This is also the point where I stopped anticipating the 1K views mark-routine.

September 19, 2019 : YouTube sent me this email congratulating me for reaching the supposed recommendations for getting monetized, which is a minimum of 1,000 Subscribers & 4,000 hours of watch time within 12 months.

October 13, 2019 : the channel at 1.96K Subscribers, and also the most recent video coincidentally matching the subscriber count.

December 6, 2019 : The Channel's overall growth during 2019. I even surpassed 4,000 hours.

* * *
TIME JUMP : THE YEAR IS 2021. 2020 was a big let down. No further explanation needed.

January 17, 2021 : The first of five Voltes V Legacy-related content I posted, in January of 2021, reaching 50K views; a first for the Channel. The channel has grown to 2.24K Subs, and the name has been changed into Elmo's Universe.

January 18, 2021 : the first ever article to mention/acknowledge my work. This was made by GMA, posted in their GMA Network website, and it gave me a ton of views. I theorize that this whole commotion was an inside job, but that's a story for another time.

January 20, 2021 : the channel achieving 100,000 views within 48 hours (2 days). Another first for the channel.

January 21, 2021 : the channel is at 2.65 Subs, and the side-by-side comparison video reaching 100K views. Yet another first for the channel.

January 23, 2021 : the channel has now reached 3,045 Subscribers.

January 24, 2021 : the channel is now at 3.15K Subs, and the third Voltes V Legacy video for January 2021 has reached its first 50K views, the second within just seven days.

January 26, 2021 : the channel at 3,200 Subs, and more than $180 estimated revenue for the month of January. Definitely a first for the channel.

January 26, 2021 : the channel surpassing its first 500K total views.

January 27, 2021 : the channel at 3.24K Subs, and the side-by-side comparison video gaining a total of 155K views within a week.

January 28, 2021 : the channel gaining more than $200 for the month of January, all thanks to the recent Voltes V Legacy Teaser Trailer.

January 29, 2021 : this is what the channel page looks like. I'm currently at 3.35K Subscribers (3,364 subs when you look at Creator Studio).

January 30, 2021 : The channel is now at 3,401 Subs, and is garnering ₱11,123.13.

January 31, 2021 : The channel on 3.42K Subs, and the side-by-side comparison video has surpassed the trailer breakdown video, which surpassed it in the previous days. I have no idea as to how this has happened.

February 1, 2021 : an insider look on the current status of the six latest videos on Elmo's Universe. See that the side-by-side comparison video has significantly garnered more views than the trailer breakdown video (which had more views than the former a few days ago). I'm guessing that this is caused by an influx of Japanese viewers watching the side-by-side more often than the trailer breakdown, since the latter contains English voice overs, and not many Japanese understand English. I also want to point out the defeated performance of the one Godzilla vs. Kong video I've put out recently. I was five days late to the upload, which might've caused my video to falter.

February 7, 2021 : The Channel with 3.68K Subs, and the side-by-side comparison hitting 302K views. Another first for the channel.

February 9, 2021 : The Channel at 3.76K Subscribers, and now with the third video in the channel to gain more than 100K views!

February 13, 2021 : The Channel is now at 4K Subscribers!

February 19, 2021 : The channel at 4.31K Subscribers. I only noticed just now how the first five videos I posted since the Voltes V Legacy fiasco were about the trailer (minus the ysabel ortega video), then the next five were about other things (that mostly still connect to mecha anime or kaiju and stuff). Then the last five videos are about the Voltes V cast reveals. The organized aspect of this 15-video streak so far looks good. But it'll probably get broken once the next casting is revealed.

September 17, 2022 : Channel Screenshot. After a year and a few months, I've garnered 200+ more subscribers. There were probably 200+ more, making the channel have 4.7k Subscribers a few months before. But since the start of the demonetization of my Voltes V-related videos, caused by Telesuccess Productions' manual reports on my videos, several Voltes V fans have since unsubscribed.

Haven't withdrawn a single peso from my channel since then. Adsense Balance is currently at $42.70.
