  • King Kong turned into a suitmation actor, instead of his original form (stop-motion figure)
    • this was a crucial transition when watching this film. King Kong didn't feel like King Kong because of the shift to suitmation acting. But it also gave him a different kind of taste this time around.
  • both of the monsters were equally matched by the end of the movie.
    • King Kong yielded one the first match, but on their second meeting, he rose up to the occasion (literally), after being hit by lightning in the head, and gained electric powers, which he used to battle it out with Godzilla.
  • Godzilla was a man-made problem, while King Kong is all-natural.
    • Godzilla was birth by an atomic bomb (as explained by its creators within the planning of the first film), and his powers are patterned from the atom bomb as well (as seen by his use of the hyper beam).
    • King Kong is a being out of pure nature. He's not something caused by a nuclear reaction, he's a literal mythological being, who's been hiding in an island, while his worshipers worship him.
  • Speaking of Worshipers, they were given an added feature.
    • this time around, the worshipers have developed a way in order to make King Kong sleep: by making him drink red juice that came from the berries in Pharaoh Island (Faro Island, in wikipedia), and by also doing a drumming ritual that probably works as a lullaby for King Kong.
    • this same method is used by the main characters, in order to get King Kong to sleep again, as he is terrorizing the city of Japan. They then bring King Kong to the presence of Godzilla, so that King Kong could fend off the Kaiju.
